DURING THE FALL 2012 I will make a foreign trip and visit a number of places in the Middle East with the aim of studying the tourist’s relationship to experiences and visual representation. The trip provides a basis for further work with the piece “Cultural tourism“(2009) and means I’m in a more complex plan than before will explore how personal experience can be used in research and science. The trip is arranged by the Art + Architecture department at the Royal Institute of Art (KKH) in Stockholm studying the history of seeing and representation from a variety of angles. Focus is on the tools and aids we use for finding our way in the world, and the way in which these tools lead to perceptions and truths.
